Lead and zinc
Lead:
Lead is a heavy metal naturally found in ores such as galena. Due to its high density, malleability, corrosion resistance, and radiation absorption properties, lead has diverse applications. It is used in automotive batteries (acid batteries), construction (waterproof coatings and pipes), alloy production, electronics, and as a weight in various industries. Lead is also employed as an alloying element in metals like bronze and in heat- and wear-resistant alloys. However, due to its toxicity, its use in some consumer products has been reduced and requires careful handling.
Zinc:
Zinc is another important metal widely used in various industries. It is commonly used in alloys such as brass (an alloy of zinc and copper) and in metal coatings, especially for steel, to prevent rust and corrosion (galvanizing). Zinc is corrosion-resistant, has antibacterial properties, and finds applications in pharmaceuticals and the production of anti-corrosive materials. It is also used in specialized batteries, particularly dry and button cells.
Arfa Company supplies and sells lead and zinc, providing these strategic metals to various domestic industries as well as for export to international markets. These metals are especially important in steelmaking, alloy production, metal coating, and other related industries.
